
OUR SERVICES
We provide a full spectrum of patient-centered services. Those who are recovering from injuries or other physical traumas and can greatly benefit from our rehabilitation services. As a home with spiritual roots, Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center is "Bound by Our Mission: To Care."
SHORT-TERM REHABILITATION

Our interdisciplinary team is comprised of physicians, nurses, therapists, pathologists and more. We look forward to measurable progress with every patient and encourage them in their recovery and their goal of returning home. Current programs include occupational therapy, physical therapy, recreational and activity therapy and speech therapy. Other services are available as patient needs indicate.
Rehabilitation also provides restorative therapies for long-term residents as needs arise.
Each room on the newly furnished 4th floor rehab unit is equipped with new HDTVs that include which feature "pillow speakers", providing personal listening and quiet for a roommate. The rehab experience is further enhanced by our beautifully landscaped garden, with ponds and spaces to sit outdoors with visitors. Inside, residents and their guests enjoy plush sitting rooms, a chapel, a library, a crafts room, game and activity rooms, an auditorium and an exhibit gallery.
Experience has taught us that rehabilitation includes a strong spiritual component, conveyed through the attitudes and expressions of many of those involved in patient care.


OUTPATIENT REHABILITATION
Our highly trained and caring staff provide physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy We accommodate people of all ages who are appropriate candidates for outpatient care, including patients who have been discharged from acute or sub-acute care. Our staff is skilled in the treatment multiple physical disabilities, whether neurological or orthopedic in origin. Our goal is simple: effective quality care and improvement of a patient's quality of life through restoration of pain-free functioning.

Future plans include: a wellness program, general health and nutritional counseling and health related seminars as adjunctive treatment methods. We accept most major insurance.


RESPITE CARE AND SUPPORT
Respite Care is just what it provides: temporary respite for family or other caregivers to enable them to take care of themselves, something they're often unable to make time for.

Social workers work directly with families and will handle the details of placement, determination of benefits to help defray expenses, and assistance in preparing schedules for visitations and other personal needs. They are also available for the resident, answering questions and reassuring those who may be confused or distressed by the change in their lifestyle.

Our pastoral staff is also available to attend to the spiritual needs of our patients and residents, and to support loved ones and friends in challenging times.
